Pam Martin, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks/Kansas Wetlands Education Center educator will present Turtle Tales on May 27th at 11:00 am. Turtles may be slow but they know what they’re doing and are great survivors. Kids will get up close with the turtles of Cheyenne Bottoms in this program that features live turtles, from the ornate box turtle to the yellow mud turtle, turtle shells and eggs. How do you tell a boy from a girl box turtle – by the color of its eyes of course. This and other fascinating facts about turtles will be presented in an interactive fun program. Kids will create their own turtle, with a craft designed for all ages. This event at the library is free and open to everyone.
