Water, water, everywhere. Did you know about 326 million trillion gallons of water can be found on our planet and about 70 percent of the planet is covered by ocean? Want to know more about water—it’s benefits, fun facts and more? Children 3 years old through 5th grade are encouraged to sign up for summer reading and Make a Splash READ! Kindra Rowley returns to direct this year’s program. Weekly sessions will be held at the library each Thursday through July 8th. Preschoolers will meet from 4:00-5:00 pm; kindergarten, first and second graders will meet from 2:30 to 3:30; and third, fourth, and fifth graders will meet from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. The sessions are designed to be age appropriate and feature stories, crafts, and other fun activities. Children may meet the reading achievement guidelines by reading 12 hours.
